Not a medical device. Camera-based photoplethysmography is sensitive to lighting, motion and skin tone. These readings are for demonstration and research only and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment or any safety-critical decision.
What this is for
This software demonstrates a remote photoplethysmography signal pipeline. It is intended for demonstration, education and research. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it must not be used to make a health decision or to operate anything safety-critical.
Accuracy
Accuracy varies substantially with lighting, movement, camera quality and skin tone. Several metrics are explicitly marked as unreliable in the interface; those markings are accurate and should be believed. No output should be treated as a measurement of your health.
Consent of others
Do not point the camera at anyone who has not agreed to be measured. Inferring physiological state from a person’s face without their knowledge is not an acceptable use of this software.
